Blair Called To Quit

Tony Blair should stand down in favour of Gordon Brown after the next election, according to Lord Hattersley.

The former deputy Labour leader said the Prime Minister has lost touch with his party.

"It's rather like my football club saying we're not playing football any longer, we're playing hockey - and we still expect you to turn up and support us," he told GMTV.

"Gordon is still playing football. Tony Blair is playing hockey."
