Ali G Unleashed on America

As if we needed any more proof that the pen was mightier than the sword, Ali might end up getting himself sued or banged up in Gitmo but he's still the funniest thing this side of the Millenium! Looks like we've got a new secret weapon :-)

Ali G is wreaking havoc in the US by duping top American figures in a new series of spoof interviews.

The gangsta rapper fooled ex-CIA director R James Woolsey into thinking he was presenting an educational show for children.

He quizzed him about the assassination of President John F Kennedy and told him to cast his mind "back to the grassy knoll" - a reference to the shooting in Dallas in 1963.

Leaning in closer, he asked: "Now, who really shot JR?"

The bemused former spy chief replied: "Don't you mean JFK?"

But Woolsey was not the only one who failed to see the funny side of 31-year-old Sacha Baron Cohen's creation.

Other high-profile scalps taken include Newt Gingrich, former speaker of the House of Representatives, and James Baker, United Nations mediator.

In his trademark wraparound shades and Tommy Hilfiger hat, Ali G asked Gingrich if he thought America would ever have a woman president.

On being told: "Yes," he added: "Aren't you worried that she will spend all her time shopping for shoes and getting facials?

"What if she fell in love with Saddam Hussein? We all know that women just love a bastard." Ali, catchphrase "Boyakasha", is too well known in Britain to make fools of public figures these days.
